My Trade List For New York

It's a big one, last night New York looked like they were playing a preseason game against a team that frankly was the worst last place team I have seen this season. Quick was brutal. Sorokin made 3/4 big saves or it's a regulation loss.

Ok, so that's about 15/23 games with two goals or less, is this how they win in the playoffs? This team does everything backwards, lose to worst teams, beat the top teams. But things are going to change with some rest finally for most of the teams (not top players going to Milan) it will be a new start. On the road for sixteen days in a row is not the norm for this league or the NYI. It will go back to this pace after the break/trade deadline which is maybe why Buffalo went on a run, and shook off almost 20 years or rust with a coach who was considered done. They beat NYI big/easily.

So is Pilat going to start scoring, are any of these other players? Does status quo fix the powerplay?

Ok, here's my list.

Here same person who said Bridgeport moving since summer.

Palat in works, would have done Soucy trade anyway, despite LD callups. Wanted to take pk minutes without Romanov, wanted better defense in own end. Romanov playoffs, Pulock in tonight. Sixteen game trip too long, happy Horvat back. Likes Palat/player-person, knows how to win cups, goes to hard area's. Numbers better then production/character. Can play with good players. Praises Roy's passion, said opposite of my way or highway approach, will discuss anything/trades. Great ownership. Players want to be in New York. Will improve team if it makes sense/first round trade possible. Not working on a trade, kicking tires. Was not asked about Bridgeport by guy who brought it up this week and last June.

He spoke the local media also/calls this a reward, praised Tsyplakov.

This is about New York WInning The Stanley Cup Every Year-Nothing Else

Every single year. That's how it used to be. Realistic or not, that's why the games are played.

As for myself my perference for or against owners/managers/players ect is to that end alone based on their performance. If a guy like Pageau came here and continued his 24 goal run in Ottawa or had four goal playoff games I would have been on board with his contract, but that has not happened, and you can go up and down the lineup. We have seen all of these players get far more then a fair chance, and aside from a few have not helped this team have the success needed. Meanwhile this franchise lost four years of Devon Towes at sixteen million/Eberle to pay Pageau to score one goal before in his first seven games in 2020 as NYI lost their playoff spot, and he got rewarded for this? Same with Palmieri who at best is a streaky scorer, and at worst is a liability in all three ends of the ice. Cizikas had his twenty goals, anyone watching knew you don't give him six years based on his prior years. Nice people? Ok, not interested in that. Win games/win the cup. It's been 42 years, other teams win Stanley Cups, and are serious contenders for periods of time with managements who constantly add players with real potential to help to their mix. I'm not talking covid tournaments. I watch the games, see how the players produce or give the team a chance to win, and base my views upon that. I don't do metrics of any kind. If Drouin had twenty goals I would be a big fan of the signing, when preseason began and he was barely moving it seemed there was a big problem.

In my view for example saw nothing why Tsyplakov deserved to sit for about seven other players who largely struggled, and merited more then a benching but a trip to waivers, now he's on a team with skilled forwards, if he was beaten out for a spot by the players here they all were given a fair chance to keep their spots over him. I did not see that. No, this is not about one player.

If Darche wanted a thirty four year old, and wanted more goals and a bad contract, Evander Kane, was there off his twenty goals last season? Instead they pay six million for the thirty four year old Devils forward, who works hard and does not score. We already had Travis Zajac here.

New York Acquires Soucy/Shutout Record For Sorokin Part II

Soucy is a journeyman, who played as such. They need someone with Pulock out because his loss is devasting, but Soucy is a LD. George/others have been LD all season with Boqvist who has been unplayable is a RD.
It makes little sense to lose a third (with the second already traded in a deep draft for Soucy to replace George who played 30 NHL games last season as Boqvist (who arrived last season and was terrible) to slot in as a RD until Pulock returns.

Odd game in Philadelphia who won 7-3 in Colorado with 20 shots, came back home, and frankly did not show up/imploded as they do often. Barzal with a tip on George's shot, DeAngelo an outside shot via screen, Pageau two actual goals (one off Flyers sleeping defense/other great Tsyplakov pass) was the scoring. Horvat/Heimeman must produce goals with so many others. Sorokin now has all-time shutout record counting playoffs.
